With the ability to order something and get it delivered with just a click, many consumers take e-commerce for granted. This, however, obscures the fact that for the product, it could have been a 14,000-mile journey across half the world taking months to get there. The pandemic shutdowns/breakdowns showed us just how unsustainable and unrealistic this expectation is.
